Daroth leads our Support Centre in Cambodia which provides logistical and admin support to movements around the world. As an Alongsider himself, he passionately believes in the vision to reach out to vulnerable children. Click on the image to watch his story.

Lakhina is a passionate advocate for children and she enjoys using her amazing language skills to coordinate the translation of our resources into 23 languages (and counting…) Lakhina oversees the production of all our comic books and animations. She is also a keen soccer player and loves all kinds of Cambodian foods. Click on Lakhina’s image to watch her video.

Daly is known for his quiet, but wise presence. He is one of our senior Khmer leaders. Daly has a background of several years working in finance. He is a hobby photographer and enjoys going to the gym and playing soccer. In his spare time he leads a small group at his church.

Reaksmey started as a volunteer intern after seeing our animation team on Facebook and reaching out to us. She was keen to develop her artistic ability and drawing skills. Reaksmey quickly became part of the team and was hired as a junior animator. She now divides her time between drawing the backgrounds and characters for our animated training series.

As a young girl, Chenda’s life was deeply impacted by an Alongsider who came alongside her. Chenda later became an Alongsider herself and her obvious leadership skills led us to recruit her in a communications role. Today she helps support the movement in Cambodia and also oversees communication Alongsiders all over the country.

Paul is the father of three boys and a keen sportsman - playing soccer and Australian Rules Football, and going on morning runs around the streets of Phnom Penh. Originally from Brisbane, Australia, Paul has a background in teaching, coaching sports and accounting. He is currently learning Khmer language and advising our Finance team.

Phorn came to us after working as an animator for several years at another Christian NGO. As the first animator in our team, he began training others in the media team in animation skills and now leads our animation efforts. Phorn is the father of two children and enjoys playing soccer competitively and singing karaoke.

Alli is married to Paul and is the mother of three very energetic boys. Her professional background is in HR and she has worked in both the corporate and government sectors in Australia and the U.K.

Alli is a gifted networker and enjoys bringing people together to share their stories and learn from each other. Her happy place is a quiet spot watching the sun set over the ocean and marvelling at the beauty of God's creation. Click on the image to watch Alli’s testimony.

Theara handles the Photoshop and InDesign work that goes into creating the comics used all over the world. He has become adept at working with multiple languages and fonts. Theara is also a former "little brother", who grew up to become an Alongsider himself. He runs a homework club for local kids out of his home. Theara is married to a fellow Alongsider and has four young sons.

Pheaktra is our in-house IT specialist and keeps all our computers up to date and working well. Pheaktra is involved in a range of Alongsiders media projects including the comics, webtoons, and animations. As an Alongsider himself, Pheaktra met and married Karuna, a fellow Alongsider.

Bunhak is one of the original “little brothers” who grew up to become an Alongsider himself. He is our building coordinator, fixing any maintenance issues and making all kinds of beautiful recycled wood furniture as well as help with finance. He married a fellow Alongsider and they now have a boy.

Kimhong serves as an admin and HR assistant, she prepares documents and supports other staff. She is cheerful and welcomes visitors with a bright smile. She enjoys learning, cooking and reading.

Srey Mom is famous for her delicious cooking which we enjoy twice a week as a team at the office lunch. We still fondly remember the time she cooked stewed dog meat without telling us what we were eating. Srey Mom has four teenage children and works hard to support her family. She always has a cheerful smile on her face.

One of the youngest in our team, Vichet started out as an intern and quickly became a regular employee. Vichet is now skilled in animation, photos, and editing comics. Vichet is an artist that has great artistic skills and helps us with designing as well.

Mei started out as an intern, she is now a full-time employee in charge of social media, advertising, merchandise, and logistics for events. Today she has been part of the team for over 2 years and is always eager to learn.
