Lesson 11: Respect

Topic: In this story, Alongsiders and their little brothers and sisters will learn about the differences between expectations for girls and boys in society and how when boys stand up for girls, it empowers them to stand up for themselves. For older students there are openings in this lesson to discuss the issue of pornography.

Scripture: The scripture for this lesson is Psalm 139:14.

Discussion: The discussion questions will guide the Alongsider and their little brother or sister in understanding gender roles in their society and how it affects them.

Activity: Through the application activity the Alongsider and the little brother or sister will show appreciation to an important female in their life.
